Instrument:

I was born in Rochester MN, sometime in the 1960's, (
everyone say's I look 30 so I'll go with that for now).
I didn't start my musical career until I was 16. A few
friends were jamming and I sang in high school choir so hey,
I can be a rock star. Soon singing turned into guitar
and a few members later we had our first garage band.
We practiced in the civic center in Kasson MN which was 16
stairs straight up. First I would pull my gear in a
wagon downtown then hike it all upstairs (where were the
roadies?). The next 10 years gave way to many hours, days,
weeks, and years of solo practicing, learning guitar, and
looking for musicians. Finally I met a New bunch of
guys and formed a true paying bar band with a PA and Lights.
We played a handful of gigs then everyone got transferred
and I had to start looking again. Then came my big break.
I found a couple of guys who were looking for a Guitarist
and a Drummer. Back at it , but now it was country
music. The band was called the Smokin' Coyotes and we
performed about 100 dates a year. In that time we had the
opportunity to open for Alan Jackson at Country Fest in
Cadot WI, and perform for many street dances and clubs.
The band lasted about 3 years then it was time to hit the
road full time...so in 2000 I started traveling with a band
called the Silo Shakers. We performed 280 dates a year
for the next 6 years under that name, and a few others ( Stewart Thompson
Band,
Radio Daze, the RIDE). We criss-crossed all
over the country including Vegas, Denver, and every capital
city in the Midwest. We opened for a few national acts
and performed in front of thousands of people from Arizona
to Michigan and everywhere between (I think I've been in
every casino in the tri-sate area). In that time I
jammed with many different players, had two
baby girls, and got to sing Jessie's Girl in front of Rick
Springfield. What a Run! I still look 30. Things
are a little different now, I've taken a full time job and
only perform on the weekends. I'm watching my baby girls
grow and learn how to talk and sing and the band is better
than ever. When we are in your area, stop by and say hello,
and experience the RIDE. It only gets better with age!
